INtroduction to Bellydance: Level 1

A shimmy a day keeps the blues away! 😊💃 Step into the world of bellydance in this beginner-friendly class, where we’ll explore the fundamentals of this beautiful art form. You’ll learn essential techniques, including shimmies, isolations, posture, and traveling steps – all in a fun and supportive environment. Bellydance truly is for everyone, no prior dance experience necessary! Are you ready to shimmy? Join us!
 
In this class, you will:
💡 Learn the basics of Egyptian style bellydance
🤩 Experience a pressure-free environment focused on fun, learning, and community
🙌 Dance easy-to-learn combinations of moves!
 
Who is this class for?
Anyone! This is class is designed for complete beginners, or those just getting back into dance.

Fantasy Fusion Bellydance: Fairy Tales & Storytelling

Monday: 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Let the magic of fantasy fuel your creativity! This unique bellydance series is all about exploration and discovery, drawing inspiration from the fantasy and sci-fi genres. In June, we will engage with Fairy Tales, and explore, how can we tell a story through dace?

Who can attend?

Anyone! This is an open-level class—no experience needed.

In this class, you will:

– Learn bellydance technique 

– Practice looking at dance through a story telling lense

– Practice mindful movement & expression

Masala Bhangra®
with Olivia

Tuesday: 5:30 PM-6:20 PM

Masala Bhangra® is an Indian-dance based program, designed for people of all ages and fitness levels who love to stay physically active. Masala Bhangra® is an ACE, AFAA and AFLCA approved program. Specifically, it introduces high energy Bhangra and Bollywood dance movements in an easy-to-follow fitness format, and is a mechanism by which thousands of people have been moved, touched and inspired to become physically active. With the dance choreography directly influenced by the music and dance of modern Bhangra and Bollywood styles, Masala Bhangra® is a fresh and exciting addition to the world of fitness and dance.

Masala Bhangra® can be danced barefoot, with non-slip socks, or with indoor only shoes. If you wear shoes please select a pair with a light colored sole that will not scuff the dance floor. Please select shoes that have a clean sole that are not worn outside, as others in the class will be barefoot and we don’t want them stepping on debris etc tracked in from outside. Please wear comfortable dance attire and bring water and a small towel, as you will be sweating!

Technique Tune-up: Bellydance Level 2
with Melanya

Tuesday: 6:30 PM to 7:30pm

Enhance your dance! Sharpen isolations, add layering, include traveling steps, build fun combos, and more in this course! Designed for students with a strong background in the fundamentals of belly dance movement vocabulary, this class will refine your techniques and take your dance artistry to the next level. 
 
This course renews monthly, with a new theme or focus each month. The theme for June is layering!
 
 

Baladi
with Melanya

Tuesday: 7:30 PM to 8:30pm

Explore the magic of Baladi in June, as we dive into this grounded and expressive style of Egyptian bellydance. In this class, you’ll learn short, playful Baladi combinations while developing your musicality and connection to the rhythms. Earthy, intimate, and full of feeling, Baladi invites you to move with authenticity and joy.

SharQui® Bellydance Fitness with Kim

Wednesday:  5:30 PM-6:15 PM

Get ready to shake, sweat, and smile with SharQui®, the original bellydance fitness workout! This high-energy, fun, and empowering class blends authentic bellydance with cardio, giving you a full-body workout that builds strength, stamina, and confidence.

SharQui® is accredited by AAFA, ACE, and NASM, making it a safe and effective workout for all levels—whether you’re brand new to belly dance or a seasoned shimmier!

In this class, you’ll:

Barefoot Flamenco
with Kim

✨ Summer Barefoot Flamenco: Colombianas & Fan ✨

Celebrate the warmth of summer with a joyful dive into Colombianas, a bright, expressive flamenco palo introduced in the 1930s by singer Pepe Marchena. With its breezy, melodic flair, this style sounds like summer!

In this class, you’ll explore expressive upper-body movements, playful rhythmic patterns (no shoes required!), and the graceful power of the flamenco fan. Fans will be provided; just bring your bare feet and enthusiasm.

No prior dance experience needed—just bring your energy and love for movement! 

Flamenco: Alegrías
with Kim

Wednesday: 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM

✨ Flamenco Alegrías: Dance the Joy! ✨
Alegrías means happiness and joyfulness, and this vibrant 12-count palo is all about celebrating life through movement and music!

In this class, you’ll dive into the lively rhythms of Alegrías with palmas (handclapping), footwork patterns, and expressive upper body techniques that bring the dance to life. 

Get ready to move, smile, and connect with the heart of flamenco!

👠 Recommended: Flamenco shoes or sturdy footwear
💃 All levels welcome – modifications provided for each skill level

Beginner Hawaiian Hula with Nani

Beginner Hawaiian Hula class is a delightful introduction to this traditional dance, where you’ll learn graceful movements, expressive hand gestures, and rhythmic patterns that tell the stories of Hawaii’s rich culture and nature. In a warm, welcoming atmosphere, you’ll make connections and friendships while improving your well-being, coordination, and stamina. Embrace the aloha spirit and immerse yourself in hula, celebrating life and honoring Hawaiian heritage— we can’t wait to share this enriching experience with you!

Fat Chance Bellydance (FCBD)®: Level 1 with Nissa

Thursday: 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Fat Chance Belly Dance (FCBD) is a cultural fusion style of dance using a vocabulary of non verbal cues to create a beautiful improvisational dance for solos, duets or groups. Whether you are completely new to dance or have been dancing for years, this style is fun and easy to learn so you can dance with anyone, anywhere!

CIRCL Mobility™ With Olivia

CIRCL Mobility™ is a movement system designed to unleash the body’s physical restrictions. Through specifically designed macro and micro mobility components, you’ll renew the body’s movement potential, achieve better performance, and recover quicker.
 
We believe that mobility is a “vital” sign, just as necessary as all other elements of optimal health and wellbeing. Combined with resistance and cardiovascular exercise, the CIRCL Mobility™ Program’s Mobility Modules complete the cycle of integrated training for health, longevity, and vitality. CIRCL Mobility™ will nurture the body by restoring balance, enhancing joint mobility, and increasing muscle recovery. And, best of all, it feels good!
 
What is this class about?
This is a low impact movement class focusing on mobility, breathwork, flexibility, and stretching. Movements vary between standing, sedentary, or prone, so use of a mat is required.
 
Who is this class for?
This class is ideal for anyone wanting to improve flexibility and restore balance through slow movements and breathwork.
